Best Ever Beef Kabob Recipe: An Easy Weeknight Grilling Favorite
I'm a firm believer that eating healthy, home cooked meals doesn't need to be complicated and time consuming, and these beef kabobs are my proof. Juicy, grass-fed beef marinated in a tangy-sweet balsamic glaze, threaded with fresh veggies, and grilled to smoky perfection. They come together fast, they're endlessly customizable, they're nutritious, and the whole family will love them.
Fair warning: once you make these, they're getting added to the regular rotation.

What You Need
Marinade
- 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1/3 cup olive or avocado oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced (or 2 tsp ground garlic)
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
Kabobs
- 2 lbs grass-fed beef kabobs
- Mushrooms
- Onions, cut into 1" pieces
- Green pepper, cut into 1" pieces
- Yellow pepper, cut into 1" pieces
- Red pepper, cut into 1" pieces
- Zucchini or summer squash, cut into 1" pieces
How to Make It
- Make the marinade. Whisk together the balsamic vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, oil, garlic, black pepper, honey, and Dijon mustard. Set aside 1/4 cup to use as a glaze later.
- Marinate the beef. Combine the remaining marinade with the beef kabobs. Cover and marinate for at least 1 hour, up to overnight, in the refrigerator.
- Prep for the grill. Remove the meat from the fridge about 30 minutes before grilling so it cooks evenly. If you're using wooden skewers, start soaking them now.
- Assemble. Preheat your grill to 400°F. Thread the beef and vegetables onto skewers.
- Grill. Cook the kabobs for 4–5 minutes on one side. Turn and brush with the reserved marinade. Cook for another 3–4 minutes, turn once more, brush again, and let cook for a final minute or so until the beef reaches your desired doneness.
Serving ideas: Pair with grilled flatbread, a simple rice pilaf, or a cold cucumber salad to round out the meal.
Bonus tip: This marinade works just as well on chicken or pork kabobs! Just adjust grill time depending on the cut. Our pasture raised chicken tenders or pasture raised pork tenderloin are my preferred cuts for kabobs.
Frequently Asked Questions

How long do beef kabobs take to grill? Beef kabobs typically take about 10–12 minutes total on the grill — roughly 4–5 minutes per side, with a brush of marinade and a final minute or two to finish.
