A Season of Gratitude: Our Partner Farms

This season, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. The photo above is a perfect reminder—it captures a much-needed family vacation to the East Coast this October, something that wouldn’t have been possible without so many things we’re thankful for. Here’s a glimpse of what’s filling us with appreciation:

👉 Our family, for their unwavering support and help on this wild journey.
👉 Our kids, for their patience with late dinners and stepping up when things run behind.
👉 Each other, for offering grace and encouragement when shit hits the fan.
👉 Dave, our UPS driver (and his subs), who reminds us, “We work for you guys,” even when we’re scrambling to pack orders by 5.
👉 The families we carpool with, for helping our kids live their best lives in sports and other activities.
👉 Our Rebel Team, for your unmatched work ethic and your give a damn attitude.
👉 Our animals, for providing us with the proteins that feed our families and heal our bodies.
👉 Nature, for its resilience, its lessons, and its ability to grow our animals.
👉 Our loyal customers, for taking a chance on a small family farm and supporting a better world.
👉 Our new customers, for making the badass choice to prioritize their health and the planet.

A Special Shout-Out to Our Partner Farms
This Thanksgiving, we need to highlight an extraordinary group of people who often stay behind the scenes: Our Partner Farms.

These farmers are the real deal—the experts who’ve spent years, even decades perfecting their craft to raise animals with care and respect. They make sure every steak, roast, or chop you serve comes with transparency and integrity. Thanks to them, you can feel good about every bite of Rebel meat you eat.

Our partner farms don’t just help us grow food; they help us grow trust. These partnerships ensure that the quality and values you’ve come to expect from Rebel stay rock solid.

Meet the Badasses Behind the Scenes

Hehlden Farms – Eggs

The Hehls have been with us since the beginning as friends and mentors. This multi-generational family farm, led by Matt, Amy, and Christina, shifted from conventional to regenerative farming with pure grit and determination. We’ve learned so much from them at APPPA Conferences, and they continue to blow us away with their passion for hosting events and pushing for better farming practices.

 Joe’s Farm – Pasture-Raised Chicken

We met Joe years ago buying used chicken crates on Facebook Marketplace—and damn, did we luck out. Joe is now a leader in pastured poultry, an APPPA board member, and one of the youngest and most accomplished farmers in the game. His tenacity and ability to raise high-quality birds with a small, efficient team inspire us.

Apsey Farms – Grass-Fed Beef

The Apsey family is proof that innovation and tradition can coexist. When Kyle convinced his dad to ditch the barn-fed model to finishing cattle on grass, it transformed their farm. They now work hand in hand to raise some of the best grassfed beef out their. In fact, their beef speaks for itself, and Kyle’s advocacy for a healthier food system—yes, even in D.C.—is changing the game for small farmers.

Flying W Ranch – Pasture-Raised Hogs

Rick and Carey Wagon were our first introduction to pasture-raised livestock. Over the years, they’ve become masters of farrowing (birthing pigs), a skill that takes grit, patience, and persistence. Their dedication produces some of the most mind-blowing Berkshire pork you’ll ever taste. They’ve set the standard for what it means to raise hogs ethically and sustainably, inspiring us to constantly improve our own practices.

MSU Grassfed Research Farm – Beef Cattle

When we started our grass-fed beef program, we went straight to the best. The Red Angus herd at MSU has been grass-fed and finished for generations. Their manager, Ty, has been an incredible resource, sharing knowledge that helps us grow our program with the same precision and care.

To our Partner Farms: Thank you for your dedication to the healing the earth, providing healthy, nutritious food and advocating for a healthier food system. Together, our impact and opportunity for change expands exponentially.

To you, Rebel customer, Thank you for being part of this journey and for supporting not just us but the incredible farmers who make it all happen. Every time you choose Rebel, you’re saying hell yes to a better food system—and we couldn’t be more grateful for that.
